What is connectivity map?
Creating and analyzing large perturbational datasets to aid our understanding of human disease and to accelerate the discovery of novel therapeutics.
What are the L1000 genes?
L1000 is a high-throughput gene expression assay that measures the mRNA transcript abundance of 978 “landmark” genes from human cells. (The “L” in L1000 refers to the Landmark genes measured in the assay.)
What is Perturbagens?
A perturbagen is a (chemical or genetic) reagent used in the laboratory to treat cells and measure the resulting biological response. In the case of CMap, changes in gene expression are measured following treatment with a perturbagen.
What are landmark genes?
We used computational methods to identify a subset of informative transcripts which we call “Landmarks”. Thus, a landmark gene is one whose gene expression has been determined as being informative to characterize the transcriptome and which is measured directly in the L1000 assay.
What is CMAP database?
The connectivity map (CMAP) database is established initially to connect biology, chemistry, and clinical conditions, which helps to discover the connections between disease-gene-drug. The CMAP approach has been applied in the widely recognized field of drug discovery and development.
What is the concept of connectivity?
Definition of connectivity : the quality, state, or capability of being connective or connected connectivity of a surface especially : the ability to connect to or communicate with another computer or computer system.
What is clue io?
[clue.io] A dimensionality reduction technique particularly well suited for visualizing data. ( For references, see https://lvdmaaten.github.io/tsne) The parameters that were used for running t-SNE here are: 50 initial dimensions, perplexity of 30, and theta of 0.5.
What are the different types of connectivity?
Connection Types
- Dial-up Connection.
- ISDN.
- DSL.
- Cable TV Internet connections.
- Satellite Internet connections.
- Wireless Internet Connections.
What is connectivity network?
Network connectivity is the process of connecting the different parts of the network through access points (APs), routers, and gateways. Since this process supports devices that often offer critical services to patients and providers, slow or unreliable connectivity is unacceptable.
What is a scrambled shRNA?
A scrambled control is exactly what it sounds like, it involves taking the siRNA or shRNA sequence and randomly rearranging its nucleotide sequence.
